Overview
Every property on Ethiopia Bookings has its own cancellation policy, which is displayed prominently on the property listing page and confirmed in your booking. The four standard cancellation policies on Ethiopia Bookings are:

How to cancel a booking
Log in to your Ethiopia Bookings account, go to My Bookings, select the booking you wish to cancel and click Cancel Booking. The cancellation policy applicable to your booking will be displayed before you confirm cancellation. Once confirmed, cancellations cannot be reversed.
Refund processing time
Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. For card payments (Stripe), the refund appears on your statement within 5–7 business days. For Telebirr or mobile money payments, refunds are sent to your registered mobile money account within 3–5 business days.
Property cancellations
If a property cancels your booking (a rare but possible event), Ethiopia Bookings will: notify you immediately, issue a full refund within 48 hours, and make reasonable efforts to find you alternative accommodation at a comparable price. We cannot guarantee alternative accommodation in all locations or at all times of year.
Force majeure
In cases of force majeure — natural disasters, civil unrest, government travel restrictions, or other events beyond anyone's control — we will work with property owners to offer fair resolution. We may issue credit notes or partial refunds in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
